Confirmed dates for the eight Faculty of Science PhD Student Symposium (8th PhDSS) are April 26 and 27, 2024.
Who can apply?
All postgraduate students of the Faculty of Science can participate in the Symposium (regardless of the year of study), with the results of their research related to the preparation of the dissertation. Except for students from the Faculty of Science, postgraduate students of related faculties of the STEM field (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) can also apply. We hereby invite and encourage all students of other study levels, undergraduate and graduate studies, to register as passive participants to complete our symposium. The Faculty of Science PhD Student Symposium is an ideal opportunity for new acquaintances, networking of students from the Faculty of Science and others, for learning, for new ideas and a cheerful, and above all, educational two-day gathering.
How can you participate?
You can participate actively through an oral and/or poster presentation and passively. The aim of the Symposium is to connect students of all doctoral studies of the Faculty of Science and related faculties and to encourage their mutual communication and possible cooperation. Since the program units will contain lectures from various study programs and scientific fields, students should shape and adapt their presentations so that they are understandable to everyone. Likewise, we encourage poster presenters to adapt their posters to a wider audience.
“My task is to use the power of the written word to make people really hear, feel – and above all see.” – Joseph Conrad
