The Faculty of Science, an integral part of the largest university in Croatia, the University of Zagreb, is organized into seven departments:

- Department of Physics.
Under the Department of Biology, the faculty has a Botanical garden, while the Department of Geophysics is active in Seismological survey of the Republic of Croatia.
Guided by a vision to be a leading regional institution in scientific and educational pursuits, the faculty serves as a driving force for the development of natural sciences and mathematics in the Republic of Croatia.
Dedicated staff at the Faculty of Science engage in internationally relevant and competitive basic research, laying the groundwork for the advancement of science and mathematics, as well as the initiation of applied and developmental research. The continuous development of scientific and organizational infrastructure ensures the delivery of high-quality study programs and supports scientific and professional endeavors.
Primarily situated within the North Campus of the University of Zagreb, the Faculty of Science actively promotes collaboration with other university constituents and public research institutes. The university’s study programs, grounded in science, innovation, and new knowledge, aim to contribute significantly to the social and economic development of the Republic of Croatia.
