"How to successfully submit a project?"

Jelena Godrijan, PhD will share her experiences of writing project proposals, from the initial idea, through unsuccessful proposals, to finaly obtaining and leading projects. This workshop will help you to connect key aspects of successful project design and submission, including understanding current research trends, the importance of topic selection, and connections to existing research. I will emphasise the structure of the project proposal and the importance of clear and concise wording. Finally, you will be introduced to present potential challenges in the project application process and strategies to overcome them. This workshop will provide you with basic knowledge so you are prepared to when writing your own project!

Jelena Godrijan, PhD

Jelena Godrijan, PhD is a renowned scientist currently employed at the  Division for Marine and Environmental Research of the Ruđer Bošković Institute. She studied biology at the Faculty of Natural Sciences and Mathematics at the University of Zagreb, where she completed her doctoral studies in oceanology. Her career includes collaboration with renowned institutions such as the Bigelow Laboratory for Ocean Sciences in the USA, where she is currently an adjunct scientist. She actively participates in the scientific community through mentoring, organising symposia, workshops and popularization of science. She has led and collaborated on several scientific projects, including those funded by the European Union Scientific Research Initiatives and the European Molecular Biology Organisation.
