Nuqleus
Nuqleus is the first Croatian deep-tech venture builder which takes place within the Innovation Center Nikola Tesla (ICENT). “Deep-tech” means that Nuqleus is focused on innovative technologies that most often result from research at scientific and educational institutions. “Venture builder” means that Nuqleus provides specialized support to selected participants and teams with the aim of turning research results into commercially viable companies and/or collaboration with industry. Some of the topics covered by the program are; how to present and validate an idea, intellectual property, starting a company, creating a business model, securing financing, etc. Last year, program participants founded 7 companies and have so far secured more than a million euros in grants and investment.
MSc. Deni Nurkić
Deni is currently working on projects which aim to support the commercialization of innovations at the Innovation Center Nikola Tesla (ICENT). Within ICENT, he acts as the co-leader of the deep tech venture builder Nuqleus, as the service manager of the European Digital Innovation Center (EDIH) Crobohub++ and as the scientific portfolio manager of the Scinergy project which aims to connect researchers and companies. He holds a master’s degree in research physics and is a doctoral candidate at the Faculty of Science (PMF) in Zagreb. He volunteers as a member of the arbitration council of the association Penkala, whose members are Croatian early career researchers.
